Pushpa 2 v/s Pathan: According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Pushpa 2, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun, has been the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. The action-drama, which was directed by Sukumar, became the fastest Indian film to reach the Rs. 1,000 crore mark on its seventh day.

Pushpa 2 broke the previous record by reaching Rs. 1,000 crore in just 7 days, whilst Baahubali 2 needed 10–11 days to do so. Despite a minor decline of 12.57% from the previous days, Pushpa 2 made Rs. 37.9 crore in India on its eighth day. It currently has a net domestic collection of about Rs. 726.25 crore.

Allu Arjun movie :Within days after its debut, Pushpa 2: The Rule set several records, including breaking Pushpa: The Rise’s lifetime collections in two days. The film solidified Allu Arjun’s fame and established standards for action thrillers throughout India.
The story continues to steal heart
The story of Pushpa Raj, who rose from a daily wage worker to become the head of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate, is continued in the sequel. Rashmika Mandanna portrays Pushpa’s wife, Srivalli, who stands by him in the face of his alienated family. Playing police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat again, Fahadh Faasil is still dealing with the humiliation from the first movie.

“You see, there is consistency with Shah Rukh Khan,” the renowned trade analyst retorted. Jawan and Pathaan are two films that have made above Rs 500 crore at the box office. I’m not disputing that Pushpa 2 is currently going on a wild level. However, it is a little too soon to draw comparisons to Shah Rukh Khan.
“Shah Rukh Khan’s overseas numbers are huge again for both films,” he continued. Thus, let’s avoid entering that area as well. However, I believe that Allu Arjun is well ahead of his peers now. And he deserves all the accolades for the performance he gave in Pushpa 2.
