FIR against Farah khan

FIR against Farah khan, offended hindu religious feeling

FIR against Farah khan: Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan is facing legal issues following the filing of a criminal complaint against her for allegedly making a disparaging statement on the Hindu holiday of Holi. Social media star Vikash Fhatak, better known online as Hindustani Bhau, filed the case at Mumbai’s Khar Police Station via his attorney, Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh.

In a February 20 episode of Celebrity MasterChef, Farah allegedly said, “Holi is the favorite festival of all the Chhapri people.” This is the source of the controversy. Khan faced criticism for reportedly disdaining the celebration since the term “chhapri” is frequently used disparagingly.following this a FIR against Farah khan logged in police station

The complaint claims that Farah Khan’s comment was damaging to the greater Hindu community as well as gravely offending Hindustani Bhau’s religious feelings. Advocate Deshmukh underlined that these kinds of remarks can incite conflict among the community. Under the pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the complaint calls for legal action.

According to reports, Farah Khan is the subject of a formal complaint filed under IPC sections 196, 299, 302, and 353. Strict action is being demanded by Hindustani Bhau and his legal team, who say the comment could spark social upheaval. Farah Khan has not yet responded to the accusations in public.

Debate arouse in netizens

On social media, Farah Khan’s statement has generated contentious debates. Bollywood came under fire from many users for purportedly disdaining Hindu holidays; one commentator asked why Shah Rukh Khan had previously been shown celebrating Holi in Om Shanti Om. Some, however, backed Farah, claiming that rather than the holiday itself, she might have been alluding to some of the rowdy actions connected to Holi celebrations.

The debate is still gaining steam on the internet in spite of the divergent viewpoints. When BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga harshly denounced Farah Khan in a video message, the matter intensified even more.

Accusing her of trying to discredit Indian customs, he called her the “biggest chhapri.” Bagga maintained that India has celebrated Holi and Diwali with delight for millennia and charged Bollywood celebrities like Khan with deliberately disparaging Indian culture. Farah Khan has yet to publicly address the growing calls for an apology, so the discussion is still going on.
