Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar were also best friends in the 70s. Both were known by the name Salim-Javed. Together they worked on stories of many great films like Sholay, Deewar, Don and Mr. India. This pair became famous as Salim-Javed not only in the industry and between aurdience But then suddenly both the friends separated from each other.
How Javed and Saleem parted ways
Actress Shabana Azmi talked about what happened between these two friends. Shabana Azmi had come to Salim Khan’s son Arbaaz Khan’s talk show The Invincibles, where she was talked to about how Javed and Saleem parted ways .Shabana said that till date she does not know what happened between them and why they separated. She said she did not get involved in it because she felt it was their personal matter. But during that time, Javed was going through a change. Shabana said that she did not exactly know why they separated and what had happened between them.
Akhtar talked about their relationship
Javed started writing poetry and spending time living differently. But even after this, Javed was happy but his career was at risk at that time. However, before this, Javed Akhtar has also talked about the distance in their relationship with Salim. He had said in an interview that the reason for this was not a credit issue. when they both were in their struggling period they used to visit each other’s place Neither was there any fight between them nor was there any other serious problem.Nothing had happened between us, just the distance had come between us. Javed Akhtar had told me that we started feeling that there was no relationship between us. We spent our evening separately . We had our different friend circle.
